• SAFETY FIRST
  • Put a plan in place to keep your employees and customers safe from harm
  • While companies do not like to close their doors, don’t take chances during a natural disaster
    • If you need to close, then CLOSE!
• Do you offer yearly training in basic first aid and CPR to all of your employees?
• Do you have the correct safety equipment?
  • Sprinklers, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, backup electric, properly marked exits, first aid kit, etc.
  • Develop a map for emergency evacuations from each room in your building showing the occupants of the building how to find an exit
• Do you store all of your essential papers offsite?
  • It’s critical to have this information, including customer contact information, in a different location
    • Online storage, safety deposit box, or an alternate location
  • Create a list of all of your vendors and service providers
    • You may not be able to enter your business during a natural disaster to access this information
    • A Plan B supplier list is helpful if your local vendors have a disruption in their service
